Suzana Freegard


Suzana is a PhD candidate at the University of South Australia. Her PhD is evaluating the Invictus Pathways Program, a multidisciplinary training and support program for recovering military personnel, veterans and first responders. Her research is also exploring the impact of the Invictus Pathways Program as well as competing in the Invictus Games and/or Warrior Games on military personnel and veterans’ wellbeing. Suzana’s broader research interests revolve around wellbeing, resilience, and the impact of physical activity on mental health.

Prior to taking on the PhD, Suzana has worked in mental health research for ten years. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Psychology and is a University Medal recipient.
