David McBride is an occupational physician and Associate Professor in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Otago. His clinical interests lie in occupational medicine, occupational medicine and veteran’s health. He trained in occupational epidemiology at the Institute of Occupational Health at the University of Birmingham. He has recently completed a study of New Zealand ‘contemporary’ veterans examining the relationship between post-traumatic stress injury, health, wellbeing and multi-system illness. A reservist for all of his adult life he has served in Northern Ireland, East Timor and Afghanistan.
